Movies have always been a big part of my life . Usually when we are kids watching tv or movies isn't considered to be of any use ..waste of time but i strongly disagree .  

 I didn't really understand the accent in English movies which i told my dad . Immediately he got into action every weekend Saturday we had to watch a English classic and Sunday Hindi  Classic . 

 We would actually look foreward to selecting the movie sitting together and watching it . 
Movies keep me sane ..happy ..connected .. I learnt english only watching movies ..books helped too thoda bahut  ;).

My dad introduced me to this awsum world ..when VCRs had just been launched and so many video libraries stocking most amazing movies.

Prabhadevi we had a SAGAR video library just across the street ..Friday evening marathon would start so 3 days we has to watch 4 to 5 movies . 
1 had to be Dilip kumar .. 2 english .

Once we got hang of their accents we watched more serious movies too. 

Some fabulous movies like Guns of Navarone , Where eagles dare , Escape to victory , Bridge on the river kwai , Mackenna's gold,10 commandments , Benhur all of these movies are engrained in my brain .and so are Gregory Peck , Rock Hudson 🧡 

 Beckett  which was copied as Namak Haram in hindi both absolutely amazing .
 Sound of music , Come september .. endless list of these wonderful masterpieces .

Come September 💛 Rock Hudson , Italy and Vespas loved every bit of it.

My dad was a very big fan of Dilip kumar so we had to watch him ..which ofcourse was a pleasure , Madhumati , Gopi , Raam aur shyaam , Kohinoor with Meena kumari , Sagina ..
Dilip kumar 's variety of roles from a playboy in 'Bairaag'
 to the blind man and who can forget his role in Ganga jamuna as a dacoit . His brother Nasir khan too was in this movie . 
Him in kohinoor with meena kumari both so young so happy . 
His fabulous role in Leader with Vyjantimala so full of life so polished .

Movies are a magical world .  I hope to introduce these to my kids someday .. a cup of tea and one of these master pieces is just Perfect .....aur kya chahiye ...

#atramshatramrandomthoughts Bi-polar , Depression different names but suffering is the same not just for the person but people around them to . It's a very difficult topic to discuss and i have avoided it as much as i could .. but this is increasing now because of stress , competition , lifestyle , food . I have seen depression at a  early age someone really close. Seen the person ruin his life slowly bit by bit . Ganpati Bappa Morya !!!

#atramshatramrandomthoughts And he is back my favourite :) . Festivals are about celebrations ..celebrating life ..celebrating the time we have together !!! These are good happy memories which our kids will keep with them I know I have ..I remember every function we have done when we were kids .  I remember my mom sitting with her sewing machine making curtains for the stage during Ganpati . Huge green curtains ..I remember her tying a jhoola to the tree during Teej.  I remember Pathak aunty sitting in the garden and making fresh bhaang. I remember one aunty getting drunk on it and creating a ruckus. I remember after holi the whole building lying down in the garden under the sun . I have loved holi ever since . I remember janmashtmi in the community hall we did Krishna Janam together . All 80 flats would be a part . I remember the antakshri competitions at 12 in the night . I remember the awesome stage plays we did.  I remember watching Teesri Manzil and Gumnaam together ...

Gulabo Sitabo Review

#gulabositabo #atramshatramrandomthoughts Brilliant Bacchan as Mirza  !!❤️ Lucknow ❤️ Lucknowi Hindi - Urdu ❤️ Everytime you think Bacchan has done it.. this is his best performance ..he prooves us wrong . His character is so different in this movie sly , greedy yet so lovable . Juhi chaturvedi's writing flawless as usual . A good laugh in these troubled  times . Gulabo - Sitabo are traditional glove puppet theatre from Uttar Pradesh in north India and are named after the two heroines who are represented in the show: Sitabo, the worn out, overworked spouse; and Gulabo, the scintillating mistress of the same man.  Missed watching it in theatre with a popcorn and cofee and Divya Misra Sunita Chaswal Sinha must watch !
